Dylan Stephen Stancoff entered our hearts on August 26, 1994. He found peace in eternal life on December 7, 2017 when the Lord summoned him, and he now rests in peace in heaven. He grew up in Clovis, California, and spent time in San Francisco, a city he grew to love because of the people he met and the warmth and love with which they embraced him. Dylan was kind, warm, and gentle. He loved music, dancing, and making people laugh. Dylan always glowed: His smile was bright and his laughter brought sunshine into our lives. He was named after the sea, and like the sea, his blue eyes sparkled and his heart was filled with endless waves of love and joy.
Dylan leaves behind his mother, Jerri Stancoff, and step-father, Richard Joy, of Clovis; his sister, Candace Minto, and her husband, Jack Minto, along with his nephew and niece, Wyatt and Reagan, of Auberry; his grandmother, Jeanette Freitas, of Shaver Lake; his Aunt Debbie and Uncle Joe Mobley; his Uncle Frankie Freitas; his Aunt Denise and Uncle Joey Fleeman; and many cousins and other loved ones. Dylan will be joining his grandfather, Gerald Freitas, great-grandmother, Christine Delkener, and Uncle David Freitas in heaven.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Boice Funeral Home in Clovis. A celebration of the life of our Dylan will be held following the service at the Loyal Order of the Moose in Fresno. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: San Francisco Salvation Army ARC, 1500 Valencia St., San Francisco, CA 94110.
