He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Clark, mother Ruby Rogers Clark, brother Wayne Clark and sisters Maxine (Carl) Parker, Betty (Bill) Braun and Bobby (Don) Woods.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Shuping Clark, two daughter and their husbands, Gayle & Mike Walker, and Julie & Robin Matthews, and 3 grandchildren, Morgan Walker and fiance Liam Lindsay, Michael Walker and Caleb Matthews, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
After marrying his highschool sweetheart, they moved to Northern California where he was a Sales Representative for Pacific Bell. Soon he went to work in the Flooring Industry. Except for a few years of following his dream to own his own pecan ranch, the Flooring Industry was where he found his niche, as he owned his own stores for over 40 years. He was a hard-working man of integrity and selflessness and was proud to pass these traits to his daughters and grandchildren. Bill, also known as Papaw, was a true family man whose ambition and drive was fueled by the love he had for his family. He was blessed to be able to spend quality time with loved ones at the family cabin in Fish Camp, California.
Bill loved to fish and hunt. Even though he grew up in the desert town of Lancaster, he always found a place to fish. If he wasn't fishing, he was hunting. He bought his first small fishing boat around age 17 and was later lucky enough to own a sea-going boat. Bill was his happiest with a fishing pole in his hand. This love of fishing was shared on many outings with family and friends, whether in a stream, river, lake or ocean.
He was a God fearing man, strong in his faith and loved to share the Gospel message with others. He had a true heart for helping people in need. He knew Jesus was his savior and had no doubt he was going to meet Jesus. Because of the his faith he lived and instilled in his family, we know we will see him again. Until that day, he will truly be missed.
