Betty Lou Grotte passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the age of 81. Betty was born on April 4, 1943, in Fresno, California to Theodore M. and Rose Louise Azevedo. She attended Ewing Elementary, Yosemite Middle School and Roosevelt High School. After graduating from high school, Betty worked for several businesses as a data processor until her retirement in 2012.
Among Betty's favorite interests were her loving dogs, gardening and shopping. She especially enjoyed her flowers, feeding the neighbor's donkeys and watching the two hummingbird families that called her patio home. She loved all animals and they loved her.
Betty lived with her sister Sherry for 32 years, the last 10 under 24/7 care of Sherry. Betty is survived by three sisters, Rosemary Reese, Teddy Jones and Sherry Azevedo, her brother-in-law Richard Jones and many nieces and nephews.
Honoring Betty's request, there will be no memorial service.
