Sue Owens

Loraeli Susan Owens, “Sue”, age 82, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished wife for 63 years to George W. Owens Sr; Beloved mother of Robert Owens, George Owens Jr. (Rhonda), and William Owens (Suzette); Loving grandmother of James, Kurtis, Katrina, Leah, Alex, Stephanie and Stan; Treasured great-grandmother of Calvin, Abigail, Zachary, and Oliver. Dear sister of Roberta Decker, Madonna Anglin and Edward (Phyllis) Decker; Dearest aunt of Lauren, Brenda, Elizabeth, Cheryl, Matt, Jaime, Kim and Shelly. Sue was preceded in death by her son James Owens, daughter Christine Rzepecki, parents Ed and June Decker, sister Betty Collier and brother David Decker.

Sue leaves behind a legacy of love, as she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was an avid scrap-booker and an awesome cake decorator. Sue will be deeply missed.

Private family services held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Final resting place, Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Macomb or an animal shelter of donor’s choice.
