Sarah B. Lyons

Sarah Bernice Lyons, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Sarah was the wife of the late James B. Lyons for 64 years and will be joining him in the next step of their journey. Sarah and Jim resided in St. Clair Shores for 58 years and raised their family there. Family was everything to Sarah and she lit up when she saw any of her children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren. Sarah was active in many groups, was incredibly friendly and had innumerable friends.

She loved and was loved by her daughters and their families including Linda (Mike) Toole, Pat Lyons, and Lori (Jim) Phelps. Sarah very much enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandchildren include Dan (Melissa) Toole, Steve (Carrie) Phelps, Andy (Kristina Davis) Feret, Ken (Megan) Phelps, Kate Toole, and Craig Phelps; great-grandchildren include Ana Phelps, Isabella Phelps, Raven Toole, Elana Phelps, Gwen Toole, Jack Phelps and James Phelps. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID, there will not be a funeral for Sarah at this time.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
