Robert “Rob” Doctor, age 89 of Macomb, Michigan, passed away on December 12, 2022. He was the beloved husband of almost 51 years to Darlene; Cherished father of John, Chris (Aimee), Linda Kol (Randy), Robert, and Lisa Hanes (Brian); Loving grandfather of John Scott, Samantha, Kaila, Tori, Cameron, Olivia, Brian, Devin, Andrew, and Aliyah; Treasured great-grandfather of James, Katie, Lilly, John Robert, Carson, and Jaxsyn; He also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Rob was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria, his parents Alice and John, and his 5 siblings.
For those he leaves behind, Rob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Rob was a dedicated family man, a most kind person who loved people and animals. He enjoyed poker and chess, and in his younger years was an avid bowler. Though he worked different jobs, he ultimately retired after a 27 year career with Ford Motor Company. He will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 4-9 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. A brief visitation will follow on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10 AM, until time of the funeral service at 11 AM, also at Resurrection Funeral Home. Final interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
