Richard Louis Smith, age 63, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home. He was born June 29, 1956 in Mt. Clemens, MI to Walter and Margaret Smith. During his working career, Mr. Smith was a welder in the machine construction industry.
Mr. Smith is survived by his significant other of 17 years, Peggy Snyder; children Kelly (Matthew) Manor, Joseph (Lindy) Smith and Rene (Robert) Smith; grandchildren Logan, Noah and Addisyn Manor, Katelynn Smith, Matthew Tate, Nicholas Tate, Robert, Izabella and Izaak Dailey; sisters Janet Laesser and Linda Griebe (the late Richard Griebe); nieces Amanda and Melanie and his faithful canine companion Squirt. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Margaret Smith, and predeceased by his Brother-in-Law, Richard Griebe.
Visitation Sunday, February. 23, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., (1 block north of 15 Mile Rd) Clinton Twp., Mr. Smith's funeral service will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
