Richard Oliver

Beloved husband of Beverly for 54 years; dear father of Daniel (Kimberly) and Terri (Victor) Matheney; devoted grandfather of Tammy (Michael) Brown, Tracy Matheney, Michael and Jonathon Oliver.

In his younger years Richard was the co-captain of his high school football team he also ran track. When he graduated he served his country in the Air Force from 1957 until 1961. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion and the Elks. Richard was a proud retiree from General Motors where he was an engineer for many years. He also volunteered his time to coach hockey. He was passionate about his family, woodworking, spending time with friends and golfing.

The family will receive friends Sunday 2:30 until 9 pm at the Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, 48035. Funeral Services will be Monday, in-state 9 am until the time of Mass at 9:30 at St. Blasé Catholic Church, 12151 E. 15 Mile Road, Sterling Heights 48312.

In lieu of flowers the family appreciates memorial contributions to the Father Solanus Guild.
