He is survived by his former wife, Christine, and his loving daughters, Catherine Kramer Hazen and Susan Quinnan (Gabriel), and granddaughter, Holly Hazen, to whom he was devoted. He is also survived by his brothers Bob Kramer (Bev), Jim Kramer (Sharon), and many nieces and nephews.
Rick was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he honorably served for four years. He was a dedicated employee for Michigan Bell/AT&T, retiring after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed good food, family, and laughs. He was known for a quirky sense of humor that provided much entertainment to the family. He was an avid amateur stargazer and student of history.
A visitation for Richard will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township, followed by a funeral service at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers donations are appreciated to a charitable organization related to cancer research.
