Rachel Wilks, 82, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, returned to God on November 10 at home, peacefully in her sleep. Born January 18, 1936 to Julius and Eulalie Boone, Rachel was predeceased by sisters Anne, Deanna and Suzanne, and brother Daniel. She was much loved and is survived by daughters Cynthia (Robert) Greening, Sandra Wilks, Sherill (Richard) Sine, Candace (Carl) Kulling, and Carla (John) Maltese; as well as nine grandchildren: Jacob, Margaux, Pierce, Samantha, Melissa, Jack, Joshua, Rachel and Mary; and 5 great-grandchildren: Katelyn, John, Zachary, Lilliana, and Noah.
Rachel was a graduate of St. Rose Lima in Detroit, and a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville for over 50 years. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude, The Salvation Army, Hands of Hope, IHM Sisters, and Disabled American Veterans. A memorial mass will be held on November 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 28353 Herbert, Madison Heights.
