After a long hard battle with breast cancer, Patricia "Patty" Eileen Steele passed away peacefully in her New Baltimore, Michigan home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the age of 59. Patty was born in Detroit, Michigan November 22, 1962 to Kenneth and Marian McDonald. She has spent the last 32 years with Roger, the love of her life. The couple enjoyed hunting and fishing in Northern Michigan where they frequently hosted friends and family at their cabin.
Patty valued her strong relationships with her family and friends. Many were fortunate to receive her beautifully crafted quilts. While never having children of her own, Patty was a beloved Aunt and Godmother. Patty had a huge heart, but was still known for being sassy. She will be missed by all those who know her.
Patricia is survived by her husband Roger; her siblings: Marjorie (Mark) Opel, Michael (Linda) McDonald, Caron (Leonard Jr.) Solecki, Paula (William) Montgomery; Roger's siblings: Cynthia (Guy Hurley) Steele, Diane Steele, Annette (Will) Smith, Michael (Lisa) Steele Sr., Paul (Kathleen) Steele Sr.; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth McDonald; in-laws, Robert and Julia Steele; and brother-in-law, Richard Steele.
A visitation for Patty will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48035. She will be laid instate Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 9:00 am with a funeral mass to follow at 9:30 am St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Van Elsander Cancer Center at Ascension St. John Hospital, Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
