Patricia Ann Michalik (Meadus) passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born March 6, 1930 to Patrick and Hilda Meadus. She was a devoted wife of 53 years to Raymond Walter Michalik. She was the loving mother of the late Julie Ann Watson, Catherine Marie Woodruff and Marie Alena (Gary) Hill. The beloved grandmother to Melissa (Jay) Richards, Rebecca Watson, Keri Woodruff, Gregory (Heather) Hill, Robert (Stacy) Woodruff and Michael (Stephanie) Hill. The amazing great grandma “Gigi” to Austin, Collin, Brenden, Aralyn, Cierra, Lukas and Ava. She is also survived by her sister Caroline Waterhouse, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a faithful member and devoted volunteer to her church, St. Margaret of Scotland, where she helped run the McWarm Program for the homeless. She also took weekly communion to patients at Medilodge and to other church members that were home bound.
Patricia was an avid Eucher and Pinochle player. She love crocheting gifts for family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling up north and spending time with her extended family.
Last year she was presented with the Volunteer of the Year Award from Medilodge and awarded a special Volunteer Recognition Award from Macomb County. She was an inspiration to everyone that knew her. Her quick wit and humor are what people will always remember her for.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Hilda Meadus, her husband Raymond, her daughter Julie Ann, her sisters, Eva Lamoureux, Ruth Kampenski, Viola Meadus and Eileen Riske.
She wishes to be remembered with love and happiness, not sadness and sorrow. Cremation arrangements have been made through Resurrection Funeral Home.
A private burial service will take place with the family where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Raymond. A Memorial Mass will be planned at a later date. Per Patricia’s request, any donations may be made in her name to the McWarm program at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in St. Clair Shores.
