Michael Patrick Corcoran, Sr., formerly of Mt. Clemens, Michigan and Greenwood, South Carolina, passed away of June 27, 2019 at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of 51 years to the late Lorraine; adored father of Michael Patrick (Mary) Corcoran, Jr., Kimberly Marianne Corcoran, Timothy Gerald (Tina) Corcoran, and Tracy Lou (Jeffrey) Beebe; proud papa of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; dear brother of Geraldine Louise (James) Ogden and the late Kenneth R. Corcoran; uncle of 12 nieces and nephews.
Michael was born in Detroit on September 13, 1943, to the late Michael and Louise Corcoran. He graduated from Warren High School in 1961. Following high school, he married Lorraine on January 9, 1965 in Warren, Michigan. Michael worked at Chrysler as a Security Guard for 15 years, at General Dynamics as an Industrial Security Officer for 13 years, and as a restaurant manager for 15 years. In his spare time, he was a licensed Amateur Radio Operator, an announcer and Racing Director for M.O.R.E Radio Control Car Club, and was the Concession Chairman for the Mt. Clemens High School Band and Orchestra from 1980-1990. Michael was CPR/First Aid Certified, certified in Fire Arms Training, and a Past Union Representative.
The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until time of Celebration of Life Service at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan.
