Matthew Aaron Wood, age 50, of Warren, Michigan passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022. Matthew was born December 13, 1971 in Rochester Michigan to Vance & Leota (Gilbert) Wood.

Matthew was lovingly known as Uncle Doody, and was the favorite Jungle Gym of his nieces and nephews. He was an avid baseball fan, specifically the Tigers. Matthew had a kind heart and will be greatly missed.

Matthew is survived by his children, Brendan Wood and Aubrey Wood; his parents Vance and Leota Wood; sister, Michelle (Richard) Kurtz; nieces and nephews, Ashlee (Adam) Gillman, Derrick, Jensen, Brady, Presley, Landon, Easton, Chase, Dempsey, Delaney; great-niece and nephew; Liam and Isabella. He was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents.

A visitation for Matthew will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a memory share at 6:00 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035.
