Mary was a true Southern Bell with a bit of Spice. Shortly after WWII, she married her beloved Clarence Daniel Jr. and they had three children. Throughout their marriage, Mary always insisted that Clarence buy a new Cadillac every couple of years. She made her way up to Detroit in 1952 and made it her home to raise her family. Mary was known to be feisty and opinionated but loved her family dearly. It was her home where everyone gathered and made many memories throughout the years. She was the host of Christmas Eve and everyone knew to be there or they would need a good excuse as to why they weren't. Her door was open to everyone and they were welcomed with a warm meal. Her specialty was Country Biscuits & Gravy and Sweet Onions & Fish. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children Duwaun (Cheryl) Daniel, Tommie (Mary) Daniel & Phyllis Felker; Grandchildren Tina (Carl) Wheeler, Darren (Jamie) Daniel, Thomas(Kim) Daniel; Todd (Mary) Daniel, Jonathan Daniel, Charles (Jacquelyn) Felker, Brian (Myriaha) Felker, Aimee (Larry) Jacques, Michael Courtney, Chuck (Jennifer) Courtney, Michelle (Doug) Wing, & Meghan (Latantz) Garetson; Great Grandchildren Shannon, Connor, Delanie, Alec, Aidan, Jake, Noah, Emily, Dustin & Austin; Nephew Chester; Niece Marie and several other nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence Daniel, her Parents, her Brother Charlie McKemie and her Son-In-Law Charles Felker.
A visitation will be held on Thursday June 1st, 2023 from 3:00PM - 8:00PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. The Family will then greet guest Friday, June 2nd, 2023 at 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00PM at Kaul Funeral Home. Immediately following the Funeral service burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.
