Marily “Jean” Loria, age 89, of Clinton Township, passed away February 19, 2021. Jean always put her family first. She was a great mother. Jean was born on Kendrick Avenue in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She attended first grade at St. Mary Catholic School. In her early years, when she was about 7 years old, she and her family moved to Moravian Drive. Her dad built a garage where they lived while he was building their home. Jean attended country school from third to eighth grade and then attended Mt. Clemens High School and graduated from MCHS in 1949. She worked at Selfridge Air Force Base in January 1950. In her early adulthood, she met Tony in the spring of 1950 and they dated for two years until they married. They moved to Brooklyn, New York and Jean worked at VA in New York City and Brooklyn until they started a family. Jean was very active and had many accomplishments and involvements in her lifetime. She was in the Fraser Civic Chorus in the 1970’s. She also volunteered at Fox Theatre in Detroit and Macomb Center for Performing Arts in Clinton Township. Jean's hobbies include tennis, golf, country dance, bowling, bocce and bounce volleyball. She was also a member of the Clinton Township Senior Center. Jean participated in the Golden Age Games in tennis and bounce volleyball. Her favorite songs include "Georgia on My Mind" and "That Sunday, That Summer" by Nat King Cole and "Stardust-Moonglow" by Lionel Hampton. Her favorite colors include red, purple and navy. Beloved wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Loria. Loving mother of Jeffrey Loria, the late Steve Loria and the late Hope Marie Loria. Dear sister of Milton C. DuBay. Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 3pm until 8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township. In state on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:30am until time of Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 20740 S. Nunneley Road, Clinton Township.
