Loy E. Mayle Jr. passed away on May 2, 2019 at the age of 71. He was the loving husband of Mary Mayle for 24 years. Loy was the beloved father of Nikki (Louis) Lamberti and the late Christine Mayle and the step father of Michael (Anita) Leach, Gerald (Lynne) Leach, and John (Toni) Leach. He was the cherished grandfather of Mitchell Leach, Amanda Leach, Nicholas Leach, Cassidy Leach, and Gwendolyn Lamberti. Loy was the dear brother of SueAnn (David) Shore and Victor (Connie) Johnson. He was also greatly loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Loy will be remembered by his family and friends as a spiritual person, an outstanding collector of many different items, both big and small, and for his love of cars. He was also a proud Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.
In memory of Loy, memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Michigan Humane Society.
Visitation for Loy will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 4pm to 9pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 9:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday beginning at 9am.
