Katherine Zelent, age 72, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away on March 9, 2022, surrounded by her family. She is the beloved wife of nearly 41 years to Richard Zelent; Loving mother of John Graham, Jake Graham, Jacklyn Griffin (Marc), Jennifer Monacelli (Nick), and Jessica Lach (Joe); Cherished grandmother of Tona Graham, Joshua Graham, Jordan Graham, Gianna Monacelli, Luca Monacelli, Marco Monacelli, Leland Lach, Brock Griffin, and Baby Girl Lach (who is still on the way); Treasured sister of Jacklen Lozen (Michael); Dear aunt of Nicholas Lozen (Courtney), Andrew Lozen (Karina) and Lisa Serra (Chris); Dearest daughter-in-law of Ed Zelent and sister-in-law of Randy Zelent.
Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kathy loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved animals, Ghost Hunters and true crime shows. Those who were blessed to know her will miss her deeply.
A memorial visitation will take place for Kathy on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 11 AM, until time of the memorial service at 1 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. A luncheon will follow at the Mirage in Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Humane Society of Macomb.
