For most of Karen's life she was a homemaker and worked part time in retail. Karen then worked as a Librarian for 25 years at Warren Woods Christian School and adored all of her students she had during her time there. Karen later on switched careers and worked for Kaul Funeral Homes as a Greeter and over time was promoted to Office Manager. Karen loved to sing and was a part of Sweet Adelines International. Karen enjoyed shopping Flea/Antique Markets and Garage Sales for unique finds and upcycling projects. She also enjoyed spending quality time with family, camping and fishing, beach days, sewing and exploring her family heritage. Karen was a strong independent woman who lived her life to the fullest. She will be truly missed and dearly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Karen was the oldest daughter of the late Frederick and Anesta Niedermaier (Hardoin). She was the dearest sister to the late Diane (Tom) Ross, Donna (Charles) Arnold, Robert (Gina) Niedermaier, Margaret (Doug) Kieninger, Doug (Susan) Niedermaier. She was also survived by many cherished Nieces and Nephews. Karen was a Loving Mother to Deanna Corbin and Kimberly (James) Teeples. Proud Grandmother of Samantha (Zachary) Farley, Brianna (Nicholas) Hissong, Viktoria (Jeffrey) Kiesling, Brenden Corbin and Nolan Teeples. Adoring Great Grandmother of Isabella Farley, Zachary Farley, Leonardo Farley and Jeffrey Kiesling Jr.
Visitation for Karen will be Monday, April 3, from 2 pm until 9 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 4, at 11 am at The Woods, 14300 E Thirteen Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48088, with visitation from 10 am until the time of service.
