She was born May 17, 1946 in Detroit and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Sabotka. She was married to her loving husband, David Marshall for 35 years.
She attended Erin Presbyterian Church in Roseville, Michigan and was previously employed as a secretary at Westinghouse Numa-Logic in Madison Heights.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Connie (William) Tobin. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Michael (Shelley) Provenza, two step-sons Keith (Celina) Marshall of San Jacinto, California and Scott (Kimberly) Marshall of La Mesa, California, dear sisters, JoJo (Ronald) Lagerstrom and Irene Lewis, seven grandchildren, sister-in-law Carol (James) Hupp, Beaver Falls, Pa. and brother–in-law Thomas (Karen) Marshall, Viera, Florida. She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews, Keith (Caitlin) Lagerstrom, Todd Lewis and Nancy Napolitano, Sheri Fair, Jennifer (Matt) Morelli, Bradley (Daniela) Marshall, and Ryan (Rebecca) Marshall.
Karen was a wonderful wife and loving mother, whose family always came first. She loved decorating for every holiday, and her delicious holiday meals were enjoyed by all her family.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 3000 East Twelve Mile Road, Warren, MI on Saturday, September 22nd at 11 a.m. with Pastor Nancy Bass Officiating.
