To my second mother,
You are truly missed. I love and miss you so much! 
May we all find comfort in the many memories, love, affection, and conversations we shared with this wise, beautiful, understanding, and non-judgmental, very special woman!
Mrs. Comer may not be with us physically, but I know she watches over us and loves us eternally from heaven. I find comfort that she is with back with Mr. Comer, her beloved husband she missed SO much, her mother & father, my mother & father, Danny & Henny Leutheuser, and any other family & friends not mentioned. I KNOW they are all having the time of their lives making up for the lost years.
May the Comer family take comfort in that.

To my Second Mother,
I will always fondly remember your love, affection, and positive attitude. I miss our meaningful, heartfelt, uplifting conversations, nostalgic memories, and shared family histories. I miss you more than you know. I think of you often and wish you were still amongst us.
It makes me smile and I take comfort in knowing that you are in Heaven with the Lord, and reunited with your much missed husband, your parent's, my mother & father, Mrs. Leutheuser, and your other friends & family members. Contentment, good health, happiness, and peace are yours forever more! You now have a perfect, healthy body. You are free from pain, aches, & fatigue. Your family can take comfort in knowing that the Lord assures us that if we believe in Him, submit out life to Him, and have faith in Him, that our names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.....never to be removed. 
Within your mother was the living demonstration of the Lord's spirit & love. Mom, I have a wonderful picture in my mind of you, Mr. Comer, my parents, & Mrs. Leutheuser talking and laughing animatedly! I know everyone is whooping it up, talking, laughing, and making up for the lost years! I'm sure you all were given your own  separate room to socialize because you made so much revelry & noise! That's how I like to remember and think of all of you! It helps with the void and loss of all of you, knowing that you are with the Lord and all together.......happy and content.
I love and miss you, my second mother! I always will.
To the Comer family; I hope you are all doing well! Please don't be strangers! If you are ever in the Fort Gratiot/Port Huron area, I'd love for you to stop in and visit and keep those shared family histories and connections strong. What can I say? I'm cursed with a very sensitive heart and soul, and I'm nostalgic, too! I take after my father (and that's a good thing!) lol

At 90, I knew your mother's time was very finite, but we're never ready for their death. It hit me like a ton a bricks. I want to start out telling you that you took EXCELLENT care of your mother! Love is a verb. You all were love in action. What a BLESSING you were to her! What a blessing your mother was to everyone who  knew her! To know her was to love her! How could you not?!  I Know that your mother loved you all DEARLY and truly appreciated all that you did for her. I know you know that, because she was the kind of woman that expressed her love and appreciation. Kudos to your parents for raising you to be respectful, loving, considerate, supportive children!  You TRULY honored your mother. Because you honored your mother (and father), the Bible states that things will go well for you, all the days of your life.
Where does one start when our families have such a rich, wonderful history that goes back long before before I was even born, at least 64 yrs ago! It goes back to your mother & father, my parents, Hancock Dr., Danny & Henny, the Carleton's, the Monk's. Everyone was not only close neighbors and friends, but very much like family (smile). I remember your mother coming over our house for morning coffee and sitting at the kitchen table. They would talk up a storm, laugh, and were noisy as heck! lol ! I remember the huge bonfires in the backyards that us kids weren't allowed to attend. Didn't our moms take all us kids to Metro Beach in the summer sometimes ? 
I didn't make it over to visit as much as I would have liked to, but I loved your mother! I'm going to miss her GREATLY. She was like a second mother to me. I received more love, affection and appreciation from your mother, than I ever received from my mother.  (Yes, it's true). Your mother was THE most non-critical, understanding, loving, affectionate, and appreciative woman I knew! I would shake my head and marvel at how amazing and beautiful she was!  She is the woman I most want to emulate.
