Born on January 5, 1935 to Ella and Edwin Sindon, Jean grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Denby High School in 1953 and married her husband, James H. Like, on June 18, 1955. Together they built a life filled with love that spanned nearly seven decades.
Jean was the cherished mother of Janet (Al) Cellitti and James E. (Karen) Like. She was a proud grandmother to Brian (Caitlin) Like, Jennifer (James) Zientak, Nicholas (Olivia) Cellitti, David Like, Rachel (Alex Krebs) Like, and Pietro (Holly) Cellitti. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren; AJ and Isla Zientak and Benjamin Like. Jean was predeceased by her loving sister Barbara (Fred) Froehlich.
Jean enjoyed a fulfilling career that culminated in her working for Wayne County at Metro Airport before retiring in December 2000. Her dedication and work ethic were admired by all who knew her professionally.
A woman of faith, Jean was an active member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church before joining Christ Lutheran Church in Sterling Heights. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and brought her comfort and strength throughout the years.
Jean was a member of two retirement clubs and cherished the friendships she made lunching with her Red Hatter Chapter members.
Jean's warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. SHe will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends and the joy she brought to their lives.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 10 AM until time of a funeral service at 1 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI. She will be laid to rest privately at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI.
