Irene Veronica Kulon, age 90, passed away on April 6, 2013. Irene was born on June 21, 1922 in Detroit. Beloved wife of Chester for 61 years. Loving mother of Marya (Jim) Ferrigan, David (Jeaninne), Mark (Caty) and Carol (Steve) Kenny. Playful grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Rita Gniewek and Sr. Marie Rose Kotz. She is also predeceased by 8 siblings. Irene enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, cooking and gardening.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2-9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes, Clinton Twp., MI 48038. She will be lying in state Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Community, (Romeo Plank and Canal). Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.
