I was shocked and very saddened when I heard Tuesday night about Gary's passing. I had many memorable times with Gary; one that stands out is being on a bowling league and on the same team. I looked forward to that night because when around Gary you knew it was going to be fun. Gary was always pumping up the team even when no hope in winning, when we were able to come from behind and win it was from Gary's drive and determination to win. Gary was a person that if you were his friend that he was there in time of need. Reading the other letters I also would get calls at Christmas, It sounds like the Sprit of Christmas Gary wanted to reach out to family and friends just to see how you are and say high. 
I'am so sorry to hear about your loss, You are in my Thoughts and Prayers. 
Gary was a good kind man and loved by many, he will be greatly missed.

Gary, My Friend and Neighbor down the street on Woodcrest.  I remember the times we hung out with Bergamo, Messina and Dimarzio & others and partied on the weekends got into a few fights, went to the Library dances in the basement of the old Library, the battle of the Bands at Notre Dame and had fun in the front parking lot at the old Harper Woods High School, man what fun times we had back them. When I got the news Gary, I just couldn't believe it. My heart ached like never before. I know faith and time can do wonders to heal a broken heart, this will take a lot of both. Eventually our hearts will heal and we will remember you and smile, not cry. We'll laugh when we recall some crazy "Gary" moment (you thinking you could jump from up in one tree to another up at H.W. park comes to mind!). I can still see your Caddy rolling into Metro Beach covered from bumper to bumper in WABX bumper stickers. The camping trips to Lost Valley will always be legendary.(Burnt feet!) You bet - ever since I can remember, you always lit up a room with your humor and good nature. You ALWAYS remembered us at the holidays or to pass along some news that you thought we should know.
