Edmond S. Gee, beloved husband and father, passed away on September 21, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Lori Gee for 23 years. He was the proud father of Derek (Jessica Tu) and Ashley (Brandon) Girmus, and a cherished brother to Nancy Gee, Linda (Keith) Jaklic, Meyer (Sarah) Gee and Michelle (Steve) Byszko. Edmond was also a loving uncle to Johnny, Kevin, Erica, Ryan, Donya, and Michael.
Known for his love of adventure, Edmond was often seen riding his motorcycle, always searching for a great place to eat. He had a deep appreciation for food, particularly Chinese cuisine, and was always eager to try something new. His favorite tunes—rock music—could often be heard as he cruised down the road on his bike. In his younger years, Edmond enjoyed tennis and was known for his talent in fish breeding, specializing in angel fish and lion fish. This passion began in the basement of his parents’ restaurant. Edmond always said his greatest joy in life was the birth of his two children and watching them grow into the individuals they are today. Edmond was a proud member of the Detroit Police Reserve. He was an active member of the Metro Detroit Chinese Alliance Church, where he was baptized in October 2023. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A visitation for Edmond will be held Monday, September 30, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends may visit on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 AM.
