Born September 21, 1974 in Detroit Michigan to his parents, Conzie Flanagan, Jr. and Theresa Flanagan. Conzie was reunited with his beloved parents on Nov 6, 2019. As a child, his parents ensured that he had a strong relationship with his family. He has 2 uncles and a host of Amazing Aunts and cousins (He had a big family on both sides). However, his Pride and Joy was his precious sister, Brandy Flanagan. Dena, Tony, Deanna and Miguel shared many stories from their time at their grandparents’ home on Richton (His Mom’s side). However, on his Dad’s side Connie, Damien and Donnie had plenty more at their Grandmother home- Mattie Pearls house.
Conzie doesn’t have any blood brothers but he had brothers. Raheem and Richard were his brothers. They had so much fun in high school attending Martin Luther King High in Detroit. Conzie was known for being on the football team and also being so well-dressed. His brotherhood with them followed him outside of high school into adulthood. Conzie graduated from King, “The Crusaders” class of 1992. This is a memory that he was written on so much of his apparel. This is such a beautiful milestone in his life that he shared often to his love ones.
September 5, 1998 Conzie and Wanda said “I do” in Roseville Michigan. Just a beautiful day because this was the start of his family, His Wife and Brandy. Later, Conzie and Wanda went on to have Alyssa Flanagan (January 1999) and Deja Flanagan (August 2002). His wife and his three girls were his everything. It wasn’t nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He took a lot of pride on being an excellent provider and that he was. He is the reason why Amazon is doing so well. Conzie took a step out on faith and went through the Pipefitter apprentice program for his career. He worked hard and later became a Journeymen steam fitter. He was so proud to work for the Pipe Fitter local #636. He traveled so much with that job and met many good friends along the way. Conzie found Christ under the Ministry of Tangle free ministries International in Detroit, MI. Conzie was a God-fearing man that loved our Lord dearly. He kept that instilled with his family and his family loved him for loving them that way.
Conzie’s health journey took him and his family to Arizona for warmer weather. 4 years in Arizona he met wonderful neighbors and new friends (Angels at Mercy Gilbert). But this transition made him even more of a family man. He prides himself with fun activities with his family. He was always showing Bradyn his nephew how to follow the Detroit Lions while reading Jaylee a book. However, the words “Baby Doll AKA Cutie Pie” was for his first Grand Child Alayah. His family knew that he spoiled his Deja and Alayah because they were the babies in his eyes.
Conzie doesn’t want to be remembered for the Lupus but the fact that he was a Fighter, Provider, Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Nephew, Friend and a fabulous Husband. We all have a wonderful story about our beloved Conzie. Conzie will be missed but never forgotten. Now he is back with his parents again while God welcomed to his new home. We will see you again Conzie. But for now, we have gained a new Angel and that Angel is Conzie. We will always love you because you’re forever in our hearts.
