Carol Klouse, age 77, of Macomb, Michigan passed away peacefully on September 10, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving mother of Angela Gillespie (Mark), Andrea Phillips (Stuart McIntosh) and Heather Feys (Ryan); Cherished grandmother of Taylor Phillips (Jim Hanna), Adam McIntosh, Jordan Phillips, Emily Davis, Alexandra McIntosh, Dayton Phillips and Markie Sherril; and Treasured great-grandmother of Violet Hanna and Weston Hanna. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of many years, David Klouse.
Carol was a caring and giving person. She trained and worked as a cosmetologist for many years, and later went on to work for McLaren Health with the human resources department for over 15 years. She also did volunteer work for the hospital, often times sitting with patients. Carol loved to spend time with her family; she lived for the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they were the light of her life, but she also enjoyed joking around and giving a hard time to her son-in-laws. Carol also enjoyed time up north on Lake James. In the summers she spent time fishing or out on the boat, and in the winters she loved snowmobiling. Carol also lived her life dedicated to her faith, and was an active member of the St. Michael Catholic Community in Sterling Heights. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1-5 PM, with a memorial service at 5 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan.
