Pat and Barb were friends for 63 years and she never forgot Pat's sisters, Bonnie, Diane and Nancy.  Before Pat got her license, Barb would drive all of us to church.  Every Summer we went to Maranatha Bible  Camp.  It has been a privilege for our family to pray for Barb in her suffering.  We have so many memories of her laughter, joy and the crazy things that her and Pat used to do.  We look forward to seeing her again.  We remember her husband, children and grandchildren in the days ahead as they feel her loss.  May God's Holy Spirit be their comfort.

   I have so many fond childhood and adulthood memories of Aunt Barb!  As an only child, she always made time to play games with me.  Monopoly, Sorry, Go Fish and Old Maid - in which she kicked my behind every round - filled my hours and days!  
     When there wasn't much for a 9-year-old to do in the Missouri Ozarks while visiting Grandma and Grandpa Durham, she spent quiet evenings helping me catch fireflies in a mason jar.  She even punched air holes in the lids for my captured critters.
     As a you woman and adult, she always made me feel special, took time to listen to me and never failed to make me smile or laugh!  I looked up to her and have admired her all my life!
     She lived her life with a heart filled with grace, love and just the right amount of frisky fun.  She was an inspiration each and every day of her life and never failed to demonstrate her love for our Lord Jesus.
     Mom…  The two of you had a relationship stronger than sisters!  There were not many days that went by that you two didn't talk on the phone at least once a day.  Together you both taught me about the Godly woman I wanted to be.  I pray you take comfort in your many memories.
     Uncle Bill, Nathan and Kelley…  She loved you all with a devotion and strength that was boundless.  I pray that memories of her amazing spirit, constant love and little bit of spunk fill your hearts each and every day!

Dear Bill:

My heart is heavy this afternoon after hearing of Barb’s passing.  When I first met my dear Rita, Barb was one of the first people she introduced me to at Bethany.  From that point on we shared many great conversations, laughs, and adventures.  Rita and I were both very excited when you two began dating.  One of the joys of our friendship was sharing time with you, Barb, Nathan and Kelly, especially at Holden Beach.

I regret that I am unable to travel any distance these days.  You will be in my thoughts as you honor Barb’s life with her memorial service.

The words to this lovely hymn brought me great comfort when Rita passed.  I trust they will do the same for you, Nathan, Kelly and all your family.

I have many fond memories of Barb.   As single young adults, we spent many, many hours together serving,  traveling,  bowling,  singing and laughing.   We shared our hopes and dreams for the future.   We were each other's confidant.   I remember sitting in the old Acropole Restaurant with Barb learning to like liver and onions,  because Bill Kidwell liked them and they had started dating.  Through the years our lives led in different directions,  of sorts,  but when we would meet at some store or restaurant,  it was like 'old home days'.   My thoughts and prayers are with Bill,  Nathan,  and Kelley, and Erma too.   May the Lord comfort your hearts as only he can do.   I love you all. 

Barb was always such a wonderful person to be around.  My late husband and I enjoyed her fun spirit and laughter.  Although it had been years since I had seen Barb, she will always be remembered with fondness.  

May our Heavenly Father fill you all with His abounding and all-sufficient grace in your time of need, now and in the days ahead.    You are in my thoughts and prayers!
