Winifred C Nelson

The funeral service will be held at the Church of the Holy Advent Episcopal Church, Clinton, CT at 2:30pm on Sat 6/14 with Father Peter Larom officiating. A private burial will follow the funeral at a date and time as chosen by the family.

Winifred was born in Clinton, CT on January 7, 1926.

Winnie gave of her time and talent as a Volunteer at the Food Pantry; past President of the Westbrook Senior Center Club; and a past member of the Altar Guild at Church of the Holy Advent.

Winnie is survived by her son David, his wife Sandy and their son David Peter; son Kevin; son Barry and his wife Sandy and their children Andrew and Devon; son Roger (deceased) and his wife Jody and their sons Jared and James, and daughter Amanda; her daughter Carol and her husband Rick Dowd and their daughter Katie; daughter Jennifer, husband John Cook and her son Adam. She leaves many loving nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren and her very special four-legged companion, Bobby.

Winifred is preceded in death by her sisters Molly Reynolds; Christine Bugg; Ellinor Torrenti and her brother Leon Williams. She is also predeceased her sons Dane, Timothy and Roger Clark. Winifred was married to James Robert Clark, who predeceased her in 1963.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Ramp project at Holy Advent Episcopal Church in Clinton, CT
