William “Bill” Edward Warren Jr., passed away on the 21st of March, 2012, nine days after his 77th birthday. His last moments were spent surrounded by some of the most important people in his life; his three daughters and son-in-law. A picture of his three daughters as children was placed over his heart after his passing so they will always be together.
Born on March 12, 1935 in Walden, New York, Bill was the son of the late William E. Warren Sr. and Ruth Eckler. He spent his childhood with his parents and brother and sister in East Haven, CT. After serving two years in the service in Fort Dix, New Jersey, he was employed by the Connecticut Transit Bus Company in 1969 to 1991.
The most prominent memories his daughters have with him are of summer days fishing on the lake in their back yard. Bill loved this bonding time with his kids. He loved nature, as one of his hobbies was bird watching from his porch. Another one of his loves was his garden. Every spring, he would strive to grow the perfect vegetables, only to give them away on weekend visits to see his kids and their children. Bill’s dedication to his family was unfathomable, he took pride in sending each of his grandchildren cards on every single holiday, but they meant more than just the five dollars he always stuck inside. The most captivating characteristic of Bill was his sense of humor. He was always able to crack a smile on everyone's faces at holiday parties by making funny faces.
Surviving him are siblings Barbara Meloling and Donald Warren and his three daughters, Cheryl Shea, Rhonda Warren, and Patricia Warren. In addition are his grandchildren; Justin Shea, Jessie Warren, Ryan Shea, and Isabella Bunosso. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM, Monday, March 26, at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main Street, Clinton. Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday at the Swan Funeral Home with burial to follow at Beaver Brook Cemetery, Clinton.
