Talbina Tilly E. Benavides

Talbina E. Benavides “Tilly”, 88, of Clinton, passed away on May 2, 2011 at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Hartford on August 21, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Da Conceicao) Ferreira. Tilly is survived by her daughters Barbara and her husband Michael Corcoran of Clinton and by Diane and her husband Michael Manning of Paramus, NJ, 5 grandchildren Heather, Megan, James, Nicholas and Amanda, 2 great grandchildren Michael and Logan, her sister Alice Colangelo of Windsor Locks and many nieces and nephews.

Prior to living in Connecticut, she was a resident of Southwick, MA who loved gardening and retired from Copaco in Bloomfield after many years of service. Above all, the most enjoyable thing in her life was her family. She will be missed by many.

Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton on Friday May 6, 2011 from 2-4pm and from 6-9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church of the Visitation, 54 Grove St., Clinton on Saturday at 10am. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
