Ron Harris, 59, of Killingworth, CT passed peacefully after a long illness, with his loving wife Connie by his side. Ron was born in New Haven on October 17th 1964 to Wilson (Red) and Betsy (Anderson) Harris.
Ron’s fondest memories were of his fantastic childhood in Killingworth as told by many fun stories to family and friends. He spent the days outside as a young boy catching turtles and riding his bike with friends. Staying in Killingworth with Connie he loved caring for their beautiful home. Most times you would find Ron outside maintaining the garden, chasing frogs back into the pond, or tending the fire with his rescue dogs out to keep him company. Over the years Ron found joy in rescuing and spoiling his beloved dogs.
Ron was introduced to the stone business that he absolutely loved by his dad Red many years ago. Ron’s creative abilities to work with stone showed in the art that he created for his clients, family and friends. His seamless way of making pieces look continuous was his creative genius.
Ron enjoyed vacations on the beach, his favorite spot was St. Maarten. The truly special moments in his life, however, were the dance parties with his soulmate in the living room until 3am.
Ron leaves behind the love of his life Connie who were together for 32 years, and married for 15, his mother Betsy Harris, sisters Annette Reynolds and Nancy Mathiason, and brother Mike (Tricia) Harris, and he will be missed be several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Red and his brother-in-law Scott Reynolds.
