Robin Eve Marcino

Robin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Charles & Evelyn Binder on August 13, 1955. She grew up in Moorestown, New Jersey and went to college in Connecticut at the University of Bridgeport for graphic design.

Before her career as a graphic designer, Robin worked at a local farmstand, then in restaurants waitressing or running the kitchen. It was while working as a waitress at Damian’s Restaurant in Westport, Connecticut she met her husband, Joseph M. Marcino.

Robin and Joseph married on August 12,1978 in Rowayton, Connecticut, and lived along many shoreline towns (some even on a houseboat!). They eventually settled in Deep River, Connecticut where Robin’s graphic design career blossomed.

She and her husband started their own entrepreneurship in the beauty industry, where she published all of their training manuals and advertisements. In addition, she designed and published Inspire hair fashion books for salons. An avid gardener, Robin could always be found by the nearest garden bed, removing weeds and tending to the plants (even if they weren’t hers!). She was also the Assistant Troop leader for her son in the local Cub Scout and Boy Scout organizations, becoming a second “Mom” to many of the scouts.

Robin is preceded in death by her parents Charles & Evelyn Binder, and older brother Charles T. Binder. Robin is survived by her husband Joseph M. Marcino; son JC Marcino & his wife Jaime Marcino; and her sister Jan Lomas & husband Michael Lomas.
