Born at Milford Hospital on October 26, 1972, Paul was a 1990 graduate of the Foundation High School in Milford and later enjoyed his adult life at Vista Life Innovations of Westbrook, CT. For the next 30 years, Paul thrived within the Vista community where he participated in theater, bicycle marathons, talent shows, and many trips throughout the U.S. Paul was a huge presence on the Connecticut shoreline, where he was always seen bicycling to social events, work, or the YMCA. He was an upbeat, kind, and pragmatic man who was always ready to help friends with shopping, toting out their trash, or helping change the cat litter box. His time was filled with activities that he loved; his mother jokingly said that she needed a scheduled appointment just to see him.
Paul’s extended family included his co-workers at Shore Power of Old Saybrook, where he was greeted with kind, on-going support. He was a parishioner at St. Mary’s Church of Visitation in Clinton, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Special thanks go out to support from the Department of Developmental Services, most notably Mike Olsen, Steven Stern and Mike Malaro. Paul’s medical team at Garnet Health was extraordinary and compassionate.
Besides his mother Elaine, Paul leaves behind over 50 uncles, aunts, cousins, his bulldog Lily, and his special friend Jen Hopkins.
A gathering in Paul’s memory will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main St., Clinton. CT on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, from 3-5 PM, followed immediately by a brief mass on site.
