Nancy was born on June 14, 1949 in New Haven, the daughter of Patrick and Esther (Gould) Tropeano. She graduated from Hillhouse High School. She was employed for many years by Sargeant Manufacturing then onto North Branford Intermediate School until her retirement. She has been a longtime resident of Clinton where she lived and worshiped in St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth.
She enjoyed caring for her gardens, trips to Italy and her time in Florida. Her true passion was her beloved family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband Anthony Sansone of Clinton, her son Ernie (Lisa) Laudano, step-daughter Catherine Sansone of New Haven and step-son Vincent Sansone of Oregon, her brother Patrick (Rose) Tropeano, brother-in-law James (Roberta) Sansone, sister-in-law Mary (Jack) Brockett. Her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and adored, Aubrey and Garrison Nieces and nephews Jill Tropeano, Allison Tropeano,Paul (Renee) Brockett, David (Sarah ) Brockett, Thomas (NIkki) Brockett, Teresa Brockett, Gerri (Craig) Southard, Chris (Pat) Sansone, Michael (Kathy) Sansone, Vincent (Laurie) Sansone, ,Jimmy (Debbie) Sansone, Lori (Paul) DiMatteo as well as many many dear Nancy is predeceased by her brother and sister-in laws Chris and Carol Sansone.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff of Smilow Cancer Center and the Connecticut Hospice of Branford for their care and compassion during this time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11:00am in St Lawrence Church, 7 Hemlock Dr., Killingworth, CT 06419. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Swan Funeral Home, Clinton is in charge of the arrangements.
