Mary Ellen Mitchell

Mary Ellen (Murry) Mitchell passed away on October 8, 2020 after a battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Born on June 16, 1928 she was the daughter of William and Ruth Murry of Plain City, Ohio. Mary Ellen was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be remembered best for her kindness, love of family, and Ohio State Football. She is survived by son Mark (Sue) Mitchell, their four children, Kelly, Brian, Katie and Erik. Their spouses and numerous great-grandchildren. And daughter Carol (Michael) Cuoco, their children Megan (Andrew) Hempstead and Dan (Julia) Cuoco, and great-grandson and namesake Murray Charles Hempstead. The family would like to thank Ocean Meadow of Clinton, CT for their care of Mary Ellen for the past two months. And also to Vitas Hospice Care for their compassion and care during this difficult time. A private family celebration of life is planned for summer of 2021 due to Covid.
