She was born on December 12, 1923, in Madison, the daughter of Pasquale and Josephina Manzoni.
Lena’s passion was St. Mary’s Church of Clinton where she could be found each morning. Following the death of her husband Henry, she was kept company by her two cats Portie and Little One. She enjoyed the company of her neighbors, was an active member of the Priscilla Club and always looked forward to outings with “The Cronies”. Reflective times were spent sitting on her garden bench looking out over the river. Lena was an employee of Conn. Light & Power Co. for 43 years until her retirement in 1987.
She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Funk-Gedies and her husband Robert of Arlington, MA; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brothers Giacomo, John, Joseph and Reno Manzoni and sisters Iris Bellaviti, Angelina McVeagh, and Mary Gage.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today March 1st at 1pm in St. Mary’s Church, 54 Grove St., Clinton. A calling hour will be held on March 1st from 11:30am-12:30pm at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. To sign the online guest book visit www.swanfh.com.
