John Warren Jones, Jr., 88, of Killingworth died in his home on August 24, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. John was born on August 19, 1925 in Newburyport, MA, to John Warren Jones, Sr., and Ursula Underwood Beal. He served his country as an electrician on the naval destroyer SS Hyman during World War II. He received advanced training at MIT following his discharge from the Navy and married Elizabeth Terrio, his beloved and devoted wife of 65 years. Their children are Brenda DeMaio of North Branford, wife of George DeMaio, and Leslie Jones of Rocky Hill. John is also survived by his grandchildren: Matthew DeMaio and wife Debbie, Jeffrey DeMaio and wife Cory, Alex Tollefsen and Elise Tollefsen. His great grandchildren include Samuel, Nathan and Rebecca DeMaio. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to Hospice Care, Middlesex Hospital, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457.
