Harold F. Morrison of Clinton CT died on May 1, 2017. He was born in Danielson CT on December 18, 1917, of John H. and Ella M (Freeman) Morrison. He previously resided in Dayville CT and Massapequa Park, NY. He was a graduate of Amityville HS in New York. He was employed by the Kollsman Instrument Co. for 51 years, retiring in 1989. He held many positions in the company during his tenure, retiring as Data Processing Manager specializing in payroll and human resource systems. He was instrumental in computerizing the payroll process at its introduction as well as starting up and implementing the company 401k program.
He was a member of the Community Church of Syosset NY. and a 62 year Mason of Francis Lewis Lodge No. 273, Whitestone NY and Kismet Shriners (NY). He enjoyed bowling, model railroading, and gardening.
He married Marjorie Fertsch in 1944, and then resided in Syosset NY, later moving to Amherst NH prior to moving to Clinton CT in 2003. He is survived by daughter Nancy and her husband Paul of Clinton CT and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Marjorie and daughter Constance Morrison.
Harold’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Village at Mariners Point, East Haven CT, where he resided the last few months prior to his death. He was buried at Powell Cemetery, Farmingdale NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Community Church of Syosset NY.
