Catherine Perry, age 89, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2014, at the Jewish Home For The Elderly of Fairfield, CT. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lewis J. Perry, Sr. Catherine was born in Waterford, CT on October 23, 1925 to the late Floyd and Catherine (O’Donnell) Freer. Catherine worked for many department stores on the shoreline most of her life. She also worked at Stop & Shop in Shelton in the Bakery and retired with her husband in Clinton, CT where she was involved in volunteering in local politics and community services. She enjoyed meeting with her friends for lunches, bingo and playing cards. She was well known for her family gatherings and enjoyed her family picnics. She cherished her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sincerely missed by all that knew her. She leaves behind six children; Lewis Perry Jr. and his wife Pam of Florida, William Perry of North Carolina, Martin Perry of Florida, Richard Perry and his wife Dottie of Meriden, Catherine Ross and her husband Frank of Trumbull, and Linda Danowski and her husband David of Stratford. She is predeceased by one son, Robert Perry. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, Thursday from 10-12:30pm. A mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Mary’s Church of the Visitation at 1pm, Thursday.
