Carolyn S. Cohen

Carolyn Cohen, Age: 79 of Clinton, CT passed away on Monday, April 10th at Ocean Meadows after a long illness with family by her side. Carolyn was born December 18th,1943 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Jack and Bea Laffman.

She graduated and attended Brooklyn College with a degree in Education.

Carolyn had several careers in Teaching and Office management and was most recently employed by National Parks Department for the US Government retiring in 2009.

She enjoyed arts, theatre, book clubs, traveling and spent most of his/her time with her family and friends.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by: her two sons Michael and Jeffrey Cohen and their wives Roxanne and Kathy Cohen; a sister Cecile Pearl and her long- time partner for 26 years Michael Hutner; four Grandchildren Austin, Matthew, Jason and Brian; a niece Eileen Hamm and nephew's David Smith, Eric Garland and Adam Garland. Carolyn was predeceased by her Husband Steven Cohen.

Carolyn’'s family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Ocean Meadow’s staff for their wonderful care and to Carolyn's friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and support during her illness.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Floral arrangements for the family will be received at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. main St., Clinton, CT 06413.
