Carol Ann Fragola

October 27, 1936 – July 11, 2022

Carol Fragola, 85, of Branford, CT passed away peacefully on July 11th, with her son, Mark, and daughter-in-law Chrissy, by her side. Carol was born on October 27, 1936 in New Haven, CT to parents Steven and Faye Rostkowski. Carol leaves behind a sister, Marcia Horn of East Haven, CT, her three children, Mark (Chrissy) Fragola of North Branford, CT, Lisa Waterbury of Hampstead, NC, and Karen (Tom) DeJong of Delray Beach, FL. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Vincent (Jackie) and Nicholas Fragola, and Melissa, Kaitlyn, and Carly Waterbury, and many nieces and nephews. Carol is predeceased by her husband Anthony D. Fragola, sister Wanda Torre and son-in-law Ric Waterbury.

Carol graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, CT and met the love of her life, Anthony, at Double Beach in Branford, CT. Carol contracted MS in her late teens and while battling this disease over the next 65 years of her life she helped raise three children, traveled all over the world, and was a devoted grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends at the Hearth at Gardenside in Branford, CT where she resided for the past 5+ years.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 14th from 6:00-9:00 PM at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main Street, Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 15th at 11:00 AM at St Mary of the Visitation Church, 54 Grove Street, Clinton. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
