Angela Jean Carri

Angela Jean (Caporale) Carri, 90, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Friday December 9, 2022 at Ocean Meadow in Clinton surrounded by her family after a long battle with dementia. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Clement (Gene, Gig), a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt to her family.

Jean was born in the Bronx, May 2, 1932, daughter of the late Antonio and Ida (Veccia) Caporale.

She was employed with Norelco and later retired from The Lee Company. Jean was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Clinton Fire Department where her husband and son were also volunteers.

Besides her husband Gig, Jean is survived by her three children, Dominic and his wife Regina of East Haddam, Anthony and his wife Linda of Killingworth, and Sharon and her husband Tom of East Hampton; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister Carol Billone and her husband John of Long Island, New York, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister Amalia (Mollie) Waller, brothers Edward and Robert Caporale, and Bob’s wife MaryJane.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 11am at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Clinton. A calling hour will be held for one hour prior to the service from 10-11am at the funeral home.
