VICTOR R. COLON, age 80, Passed away Sunday December 3, 2023. Beloved husband of Olga (nee Torres); loving father of Elvin (Gina), David (Melenie), Hilda Hernandez (Luis) and Omayra Colon; grandfather of Lorena Hernandez, Sophia Colon, Jonathan Feliciano, Luis Hernandez Jr., Olga Hernandez, and Victor Hernandez; brother of Irma Diaz (Luis), Ramonita Colon, Maria Velez, Violeta Caraballo (Victor), Maria Ramos (Juan), Jose Colon (Elida), and the late Luis Antonio Colon; uncle of many.
Victor was a deacon for 27 years in the Catholic Church servicing San Juan Bautista and then La Sagrada Familia Church in Cleveland. He retired from the City of Cleveland street division in 2005. Victor enjoyed carpentry and he was a luthier known for fixing and making his own guitars.
Vespers will be Wednesday, December 6, from 3-4pm at La Sagrada Church, 7719 Detroit Ave where visitation will be 4 to 8pm that night. Mass of Christian Burial will be in the church Thursday at 11am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
