Joyce Taylor

She accepted Christ at an early age and later joined Lee Memorial AME Church under Pastor Wesley Reid.

Joyce was educated in the Cleveland Public School System where she graduated from Jane Addams Business Careers Center. She later pursue dher passion for beauty and attended cosmetology school. Until her passing,she was employed at Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center for over 25 years, where she thoroughly enjoyed her job.

Although she was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Joyce was a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan. During her free time, Joyce enjoyed cooking, dancing, reading James Patterson books, and spending time with her family.

Spoiling her grandchildren brought her great joy. Joyce loved spending time with her low Maple Family during their picnics and parties.

To cherish her memory, Joyce leaves her children, David (Rose), Donte, and Kayla. Her grandchildren Aleah, David Jr., and Maya Joyce; Father Benjamin Taylor Jr. (Geraldine); Grandmother Pauline Taylor (Benjamin deceased); her sisters Patricia Walls (Christopher), and Pauline Baldwin; her brothers Benjamin Taylor I (Anisa), and LaRoberion Banks. Her special friend Andre Hamilton. As well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2023, after a relatively short illness. Throughout her battle, Joyce never lost her beautiful smile and she never complained. She leaned on her faith in God throughout it all. She was surrounded by her family until the end.
