José Angel García

José was born in Guanica, Puerto Rico on October 30th, 1946 to parents Rafael García and Margarita Acosta; and raised his family in Bronx, New York. José was a devoted hard-working man, who greatly loved his wife, children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and in-laws. He had a loving heart, treated all as if they were immediate family and had a great influence in the lives of many. He will be sorely missed, and always fondly remembered.

He was the devoted husband to María D. Melendez for 57 years; loving father to Maribel García-Robertson (wife of Andrew Morris Robertson), and the late José Angel García Jr. Cherished Grandfather to Michael David Touchard (husband of Jenimae Marie Granados-Touchard), Zachary Nathanial Greenwood, Anthony Brennan García, Emmanuel Andres Robertson, Samuel Andrew Robertson, Joseph Michael García, Abriana Maria García, and Marcus Allen García. Great-Grandfather to Maddox Samuel Touchard, Maximo Amado Touchard, and Jaxine Marie Touchard. Loving brother to Orlando Rosario, Sonia García, and the late Rene García.
