John (Jack) Montean, Jr., age 91 passed away on November 23, 2015. He was born in Cleveland on March 15, 1924, to the late John and Anna Montean. He was a proud U.S. Marine Raider who served in the Pacific during World War II. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dolores (Dolly) (nee Tokar), his daughters, Laurie, Marilyn (Jeffrey Mefford, Terry, both deceased) Ford, and Julie (William) Senchak, his granddaughters Alyssa (Joseph) Gurkey and Anna Senchak, and his great-grandchildren Jack and Grace Gurkey. Brother of Florence (James, deceased) Gooding and the late Frank Montean. John is survived by his devoted Kavalec nieces and nephews and Gooding nephews. John spent 30+ years with Ohio Moulding Corporation as Plant Engineer and was very active with his local community and St. Richard Church in North Olmsted, where he served as parish council president, usher, lector, Eucharistic Minister, PSR instructor, and Knights of Columbus chapter. Family will receive friends Friday at 10am at St. Richards Catholic Church 26855 Lorain Rd. Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. Internment Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
