James Emanuel

James Emanuel, age 75 of Cleveland, Ohio peacefully transitioned fromthis life on Friday, December 16, 2022 in Fairfield, Ohio. Born on July 2, 1947 in Selma, Alabama, James was the 2nd youngest child of 5 children born to Father (Lazarus Emanuel) and Mother (Lillie Mae Emanuel).

When James was younger, he left Alabama with hopes of moving to New York City where his Sister

lived but, decided to settle down in Cleveland Ohio. James married (Mary Louise Emanuel) and was

blessed with two children ( James A. Emanuel and Tajzsa L. Emanuel). After the passing of his 1st

wife, James married (Dorothy Emanuel) and was blessed with two children (Angela Emanuel and Jamaras Emanuel).

James was employed at Horsburgh & Scott for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed listening

to music and his favorite artist was ( James Brown).

James was preceded in death by Father (Lazarus Emanuel), Mother (Lillie Mae Emanuel), Brother

(Richard Emanuel) and Brother (Eddie Fisher Jr.). James is survived by his Sisters (Elizabeth

Simmons) of New York, NY and (Delores Alexander-Leslie) of Montgomery, AL., Children ( James A.

Emanuel) of Fairfield OH, (Tajzsa L. Emanuel) of Covington, GA., (Angela Emanuel) of Powder

Springs, GA., ( Jamaras Emanuel) of East Cleveland, OH., a number of grandchildren, nieces,

nephews, other relatives and close friends.

A visitation for James was held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake occurred Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:30PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home. The interment was private.
