As a young girl, she joined Glad Tidings Holiness Church where she was baptized and gave herself to the Lord. Gloria had a melodious voice and loved to sing. She served in several Church choirs and truly enjoyed her Church family.
Gloria attended Public School in Cleveland and Orange County. She also attended Cuyahoga Community College where she studied education.
Gloria worked in the private sector in Customer Service and Administrative Support. In 1976, Gloria enlisted in the United States Army where she served and was elevated to the rank of Sargent. Following her honorable discharge from the United States Army, she joined the United States Army Reserves where she served for over 25 years.
Throughout her life, she loved God, family, friends and enjoyed sewing and crafts and became known for her ability to sew and create unique items.
In 1997, Gloria married Theodore Tolley and remained married until Theodore passing.
Gloria enjoyed and respected family. She served as the primary caregiver of her mother when her mother’s health was failing.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sister Joy Holcomb of Pasadena, California, brother Micah Glenn (Valda) of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Partner, Mario Rollins of Euclid, Ohio, nephews, Emille Glenn (Hope) of Houston, Texas, Micah Ramon Murray of Tempe, Arizona and Micah Roy Glen of Detroit, Michigan, nieces, Rebecca Burks (Michael) of Los Angeles, California, Jody Mason (Wright) of San Marino, California, Leah Holcomb-McDonald of Pasadena, California, Andrea Holcomb of Pasadena, California and Watella Haywood of Pasadena, California and a host of other relatives and friends.
