Dorothy Reen Jones

Dorothy R. Jones was born January 26, 1942 to Nathan and Donnie R. Ward in Telfair County McRae, Georgia. She attended the Twin City School which later became Central High School where she graduated in 1959. She was very active in basketball and played as a guard for her team.

In the early 1960's Dorothy moved to Cleveland, Ohio and was employed by the United States Postal Service in 1968 until she retired in 2004. She was saved under the leadership of Elder Edward Pearl at Fifth Church of God and she was united in marriage to James Jones in the early 1980's. They had three sons.

She was called into the ministry and loved praising and worshipping God, a blessing to many especially the elderly.

Her warm smile and loving spirit will be cherished by those she left behind. One son Donald T. Jones, two stepsons: James Jr., Carlso Mark Emanuel; three sisters: Fannie Ward Eisenstadt (Yonkers, New York), Louise Ward Ingram (Syracuse, New York), JoAnn Pearl (Windsor, Ohio); and one brother Eddie Ward (McRae, Georgia). Three brothers: Jessie, Nathan and Freddie Ward and one sister Verdell Ward Hicks preceded her in death. Many nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives, saints and friends.
